Just north of Whitefish Bay, Fox Point departs from the sidewalk communities to its south and takes on a much more suburban feel. The lots are larger than its neighbors to the south and the homes in general have more privacy. Eventhough every street isn't lined with sidewalks, there are walking paths that enable strollers to enjoy the beauty of the area. The Village is bordered by Lake Michigan on the east, Glendale on the west, Whitefish Bay on the South and Bayside on the north. This gem in Milwaukee's north shore is only 10 minutes from downtown Milwaukee via I-43.
Many of the homes in Fox Point were built in the early to mid-1900s and its architecture reflects it. Classic colonials, varied ranches and post-modern homes are all found in the area. Real estate in Fox Point is sought by many because of the charm of the village. Home prices here have quite a large price range. You can find ones priced around $150,000 to other up to arounf $2 million. The vast majority of residences are single family homes but you can find a few condo complexes.
Fox Point, Wisconsin is home to a few parks. The most popular one is Doctor's Park wich is quite large and on Lake Michigan. It has a nice public beach which makes it a prime destination for many. Fox Point is close to great shopping too. Bayshore Mall, located in Glendale, is nearby as well as the River Point shopping area.
In 2000, the US Census calculated the population of Fox Point at 7,012.
